As an experienced buyers’ agent and vendor advocate at Property Mavens, I help people buy the right property whether as an investment or home to live in. My focus areas are Albury-Wodonga and Sydney.
Property investment is in my DNA – my grandfather was a home builder and my father would help him on site. Later on we went on to buy and renovate 46 properties of our own. Property, tennis and writing are my passions, along with sharing what I know with others. Competing at a professional level in Masters Tennis helps me keep fit and my mind sharp. Competitive by nature, I’m very driven when working with a client – it’s easy for me to find the right property as I’m meticulous, analytical and like to use numbers to make sound decisions.
After completing a Bachelor of Property, I worked in sales before becoming a property scout. Researching and buying properties then became my full time career. I’m extremely skilled in finding great properties, and knowing, through hands-on experience, how to add value or, what’s known as, manufactured growth. My strength is in seeing the potential in a particular property, and adding another bedroom or bathroom, for example, to immediately increase the value.
Having helped people buy and source agents to sell clients’ property (vendor advocacy) in Albury-Wodonga for more than ten years, I moved to the region to be in a closer position and the ‘on the ground’ buyers’ agent. Personally, I was drawn to the lifestyle with its excellent sporting facilities, and close proximity to Melbourne and Canberra. It’s a great place to live and invest – you can still buy property here at a reasonable price and achieve capital growth and reasonable yield.
For owner-occupiers Albury-Wodonga offers great schools, an airport, and employment opportunities in tourism, government, hospitality, health, education, manufacturing and construction. My intimate knowledge of Albury-Wodonga, right down to the best streets, ensures I choose the right property for clients based on their budget or lifestyle wants. From places close to the city with a new home, or bigger rural blocks at Table Top, I know where to look.
Whilst I support a lot of repeat clients and operate as a sole proprietor, linking up with Property Mavens means I am now part of an extended team of buyer's agents and vendor advocates. With peers to brainstorm with and the best business structure in place, I’m free to focus on finding properties.
